DaShawn Lamar-Baldwin has spent his career on the front lines of student affairs, serving as Interim Dean of Students, Coordinator of Student Activities, Hall Director, and Graduate Assistant across multiple institutions. An award-winning Division II collegiate athlete turned student development professional, he brings firsthand understanding of what it takes to reach today’s students and helps them thrive.
DaShawn specializes in student leadership and engagement, equipping Student Affairs Professionals, and college students with the confidence, community, and real-world skills that translate beyond graduation. His work spans supervising student organizations, developing emerging leaders, and supporting students through pivotal moments of growth. His approach is grounded in presence, authenticity, and meeting students exactly where they are.
DaShawn’s presentations help student affairs teams rethink how they plan, promote, and deliver experiences that actually resonate with today’s students. He believes the best engagement strategies start with understanding how students experience campus life, not just how we design it.
A former college mascot who can command a room without a microphone, DaShawn delivers sessions that are as engaging as they are practical. Nobody checks their phone halfway through.
